
Arkansas Golf to Host 6th Annual Blessings Collegiate Invitational
FAYETTEVILLE – The Arkansas women’s and men’s golf programs will host the sixth annual Blessings Collegiate Invitational, presented by Tyson Foods, from Sept. 29-Oct. 1 (Mon.-Wed.) at the Blessings Golf Club.
Admission and parking are free. There will be courtesy shuttles from the clubhouse to and from the 9th/10th holes.
The Razorback men’s and women’s individuals will tee off first on Monday and Tuesday. On Monday, the men’s individuals go off on hole 10 at 7:45 am and the women’s individuals will start on hole 1 at 8 am On Tuesday, they will swap, with the women’s individuals going off on hole 10 at 7:45 am and the men on hole 1 at 8 am. The Arkansas men’s team will tee off on Monday at 10 am on hole 10 and the women’s team will start at 10:30 am off hole 1. On Tuesday, the men’s team will start on hole 1 at 9 am and the women will start on hole 10 at 9:15 am. Tee times for Wednesday will be determined based on scores from the first two days.
The unique format includes:
- Men’s and women’s teams play the same course at the same time.
- Each school will have all five members of its team playing the same holes together.
- There will be 18 holes of competition each day with tee times starting at 7:45 am each day.
- On Wednesday, a men’s team, a women’s team, an individual male, an individual female, a combined team and a combined individual best-ball will be crowned champions.
Arkansas has defended its home turf well in the previous five BCIs.
- The Razorbacks have won four of the first five BCI titles in the combined team competition.
- The Razorbacks have won four of the first five BCI titles in the combined individual best-ball competition.
- The Razorbacks have won four of the first five BCI titles on the women’s side.
- The Razorbacks have won four of the first five BCI titles in the women’s individual competitions (twice by Brooke Matthews and twice by Maria Jose Marin).
- The Razorbacks have won two of the first five BCI titles on the men’s side.
- The Razorbacks have won two of the first five BCI titles in the men’s individual competitions.
- In addition to two-time individual women’s champion Maria Jose Marin returning to defend her titles, she has also been on the winning combined best-ball team each of the last two years, pairing with John Daly II last season.
The 2025 field includes Arkansas, Brigham Young, Kansas State, Kent State, Louisville, Maryland, Mississippi State, Missouri, UNC Greensboro and Washington State.
- Mississippi State – winners of the women’s team, women’s individual and combined best-ball titles in 2022 – has played in four of the first five BCIs and Louisville has played in three.
- The Mississippi State Bulldogs were runners-up in both the men’s and women’s team competition in 2023 and 2024.
- Seven of the 10 teams in this year’s field competed in last year’s BCI.
