Arkansas Held to Season-Low 44 Points in Loss at No. 7 Oklahoma

NORMAN, Okla. – Arkansas women’s basketball (11-19, 0-15 SEC) capped off road play with an 89-44 loss at No. 7 Oklahoma (22-6, 10-5 SEC) on Thursday night at the Lloyd Noble Center.

First Quarter – 12-23

  • Oklahoma won the tip but had its first pass stolen by Ashlynn Chlarson. The Hogs missed their first attempt from Bonnie Deas.
  • The Sooners’ Reagan Beers scored the first points of the game at the 8:43 mark and converted the three-point play at the line.
  • Oklahoma started the game on a 7-0 run.
  • Arkansas missed its first four shots before Deas made a three-pointer 3:16 into the game.
  • The Sooners led 11-5 at the first quarter media timeout.
  • Arkansas didn’t score for the final 2:09.

Second Quarter – 22-44

  • Jenna Lawrence hit her second three-pointer to open the scoring in the second quarter.
  • Oklahoma started the game 11-11 from the free-throw line.
  • The Sooners went on a 10-0 run to take a 22-point lead with five minutes left in the half.
  • Oklahoma extended its run to 16-2 and its lead to 26 with 2:45 left.
  • Wyvette Mayberry ended the run with a jumper to make it 43-19.
  • The Hogs held Oklahoma scoreless from the field for the final 3:17 of the half. The Sooners made one free throw in the last three minutes.
  • Arkansas shot just 29% (9-31) in the first half compared to Oklahoma’s 39% (15-38).
  • The Razorbacks did not attempt a free throw. Oklahoma was 12-13 from the line.
  • Deas led the Hogs with eight points and three rebounds in the first half.

Third Quarter – 36-65

  • Arkansas started the half with the ball and Chlarson made a layup. Oklahoma responded with a jumper from Beers, the start of a 7-0 run.
  • Following Chlarson’s layup, the Hogs missed their next nine attempts from the field.
  • Jada Bates ended the field goal drought with a three at the 5:09 mark. Oklahoma led 55-30.
  • Arkansas didn’t make a field goal for the final 4:05 of the quarter.

Fourth Quarter – 44-89

  • Oklahoma passed the 40-point mark with a layup at the 7:05 mark as part of a 14-0 run with six straight field goals.
  • The Sooners scored 16 straight before Danika Galea hit a pair of free throws with 4:28 remaining.
  • Arkansas went 0-10 from the field in the fourth quarter.

Game Notes

  • Arkansas’ 44 points were its lowest in a game since it scored 43 at Ole Miss in 2024.
  • Taleyah Jones was held to five points, breaking her 10-game streak in double figures.
  • No Razorbacks finished in double figures, but all 12 who played had at least one point.
  • Arkansas finished the year without an SEC road win (0-8) for the first time since the 1999-2000 season.
