Arkansas No. 13 in national coaches’ poll
NEW ORLEANS – Arkansas ranks No. 13 in the third national coaches’ cross country poll this season after finishing ninth amid a loaded field of teams at the Oklahoma State Jamboree this past weekend.
The Razorbacks compete in the Chile Pepper Festival on Friday, Sept. 30, at 4:30 p.m. covering a 5,000m course on its home venue at Agri Park.

Alabama is currently the top SEC school in the national poll at No. 10, followed by Arkansas, who were previously ranked No. 9. Conference schools also in the national poll include Kentucky at No.23 and Ole Miss at No. 29.
In the NCAA South Central Region poll, Arkansas remains in the No. 1 position over Texas, Texas A&M, LSU, and SMU.
Women’s teams from the South Central Region scheduled to compete in the Chile Pepper Festival include No. 10 Arkansas State, No. 12 Abilene Christian, No. 13 SFA, and No. 15 Houston. From the Midwest Region, teams in the field include No. 7 Tulsa and No. 8 Kansas State.
Schools who have been nationally ranked this season in over divisions include Dallas Baptist (Div. II), Oklahoma City (NAIA), as well as junior colleges Hutchinson, Iowa Central, Garden City, and Crowder.
