Arkansas No. 3 in nation heading into NCAA Indoor Championships

NEW ORLEANS – Despite winning the SEC Indoor team title for a ninth consecutive year, Arkansas ranks No. 3 in the USTFCCCA national rating index this week behind Texas and Florida. Those three schools will square off on March 10-11 in Albuquerque for the NCAA Indoor Championship.

Following the Texas, Florida, and Arkansas trio among the nation’s top 10 are Oregon, NC State, Alabama, Washington, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Georgia. That collection includes six SEC schools.

Other SEC schools among the top 15 include Ole Miss (11), LSU (12), and Texas A&M (14).

Arkansas will be in contention for its fourth indoor national championship, and seventh overall. Previous NCAA Indoor Championships were claimed by the Razorbacks in 2015, 2019, and 2021.

In event squad rankings, which is the average of the top four individuals in an event, the Razorbacks rank No. 1 in a pair of events – 400m (51.15) and 60m hurdles (8.08) – and are No. 3 in the pole vault (14-1.25 | 4.30).

Arkansas is also No. 5 in a trio of events – 200m (23.25), 800m (2:05.76), and 5,000m (15:59.74).
