Arkansas Preps For Oral Roberts At Home
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – After two games on the road at neutral sites in St. Louis and Tulsa, the Razorbacks are slated to play its first match on the team’s home field since the 2015-16 season.
Arkansas will host Oral Roberts at Razorback Field on Saturday, April 16 as the two schools continue to follow its tradition of annual spring exhibition matchups. Last season, the Razorbacks defeated the Golden Eagles 1-0 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on an Alexandra Fischer score during the 52nd minute of play.
“It’s always great to play at home in front of the best fans in the country,” Arkansas head soccer coach Colby Hale said. “We’ll play a good, organized Oral Roberts team that will test us in new ways. Over the course of spring practices and exhibitions, we got our answers to some offseason questions but we still have a couple of incomplete areas to address. This will be another chance to hopefully fill in those areas against live competition. We need to keep getting better every day.”
Gates at Razorback Field will open at 4 p.m. and the game will be free and open to the public. Kickoff will be at 5 p.m.
The Razorbacks are fresh off a 0-0 draw against Oklahoma last week and a 1-0 victory over Illinois on April 9. The team will play another game in the Natural State on April 23 – a 3 p.m. CDT contest against Northwestern State in Little Rock – before wrapping up their spring slate against Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas.
