Arkansas Presses Forward Through Postseason

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The sixth-ranked Arkansas men’s cross country team presses on through championship season ready to take on the 2016 NCAA South Central Region Championship this weekend in Fayetteville.

The Razorbacks have won the last three regional competitions, dating back to the 2013 race in Waco, Texas, at the Cottonwood Creek Golf Course.

Kicking off at noon on Friday, Nov. 11, the 10K bout will feature 27 teams vying for the regional crown as they set out onto the well-manicured, rolling hills terrain of the Agri Park Cross Country Course.

Let’s Check The Polls
Arkansas heads into the championship as the favorites after maintaining its No. 1 rank in the USTFCCCA regional standings since the preseason announcement at the end of August.

Guided by head coach Chris Bucknam, the Razorbacks continue to navigate their way to national acclaim, recognized as a top-six program all season by the cross country and track and field national governing body – a feat that eluded the program for 10 years.
