Arkansas Ranked No. 5 in Softball America Transfer Class Rankings

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.  – Arkansas Softball’s two-member transfer class, featuring Tianna Bell and Dakota Kennedy, has been ranked No. 5 nationally in the Softball America Transfer Class Rankings, the publication announced on Monday morning.

Arkansas was one of three SEC programs in the top five of the rankings, joining Georgia and Oklahoma, who ranked third and fourth, respectively. Texas Tech garnered the No. 1 transfer class while Oregon checked in at No. 2.

Bell arrives in Fayetteville after starring at Cal, where she was a two-time all-conference and NFCA All-Region honoree. During her three seasons as a Golden Bear, Bell batted .305 with 129 hits, 18 doubles, 32 home runs, 108 RBI, 45 walks and 70 runs scored. The Antioch, Calif., native registered 31 multi-hit games and 27 multi-RBI games.

She started all 58 games for Cal at first base in 2025 while batting .347 with 61 hits, 15 home runs, 10 doubles, 35 runs scored, 116 total bases, 12 walks and four stolen bases while posting a .659 slugging percentage and a .401 on-base percentage as a junior. She posted 14 multi-hit games and 14 multi-RBI games while leading the team in slugging percentage (.659), RBIs (54), home runs (15) and total bases (116). Defensively, Bell recorded a .991 fielding percentage with 308 putouts and 11 assists in 322 chances.

Kennedy was a third-team NFCA All-American selection in both 2024 and 2025 at Arizona. During her three seasons as a Wildcat, she posted a .399 batting average with 180 hits, 26 doubles, six triples, 28 home runs, 94 RBI, 91 walks, and 302 total bases while scoring 147 runs and stealing 22 bases. The Sacramento, Calif., native registered a .505 on-base percentage, a .670 slugging percentage, and a 1.175 OPS. Defensively, Kennedy owns a career .996 fielding percentage with 248 putouts and eight assists in 257 chances. She is a three-time first-team all-conference and NFCA All-West Region selection and won the Rawlings Gold Glove Award in left field in 2024.

In 2025, Kennedy started 44 of Arizona’s 61 games in left field while missing 17 games due to injury. She recorded career-highs in batting average (.444), on-base percentage (.539), slugging percentage (.689), and OPS (1.228) in 2025 while tallying 60 hits, 10 doubles, four triples, five home runs, 25 RBI, 28 walks, 48 runs scored and seven stolen bases. She posted 19 multi-hit games and five multi-RBI games, highlighted by a career-high six RBI during a 14-6 win over Western Michigan on Feb. 7. Kennedy also registered a 23-game reached-base streak from Feb. 6 to April 6. Defensively, she had a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage with 74 putouts.

The Razorbacks are coming off a 44-14 mark in 2025 which featured their eighth-consecutive NCAA Tournament berth and fourth NCAA Super Regional appearance in program history, all of which have come under head coach Courtney Deifel’s guidance.
