Arkansas Set For Match Against Baylor
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – In its only scheduled match of the week, the Arkansas men’s tennis team is set to hit the road for its final road dual match of the season against the No. 5 Baylor Bears. The match is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.

Meeting Again
The Razorbacks and the Bears will be facing off for the first time since March 16, 1991. The Hogs own a 16-0 record over Baylor dating back to the Southwest Conference days as the two teams faced each other for 16-consecutive seasons between 1976-1991. The match Thursday is the first between the teams in 28 years.
Moving Up
Arkansas seniors Oscar Mesquida and Adam Sanjurjo saw their individual singles Oracle/ITA rankings move up following Arkansas’ matches against South Carolina and Florida. Mesquida made a major move, moving up 49 spots to No. 53 in the nation, while Sanjurjo made a re-appearance in the rankings, coming in at No. 124. Mesquida is 6-4 in dual matches, as he owns a 4-4 record against nationally-ranked individuals overall this season.
Last Time Out
The men’s tennis squad finished 1-1 last weekend after opening up Southeastern Conference competition. The Razorbacks defeated South Carolina 5-2 last Friday, before falling to Florida 6-1 on Sunday. Arkansas is slated to return to league play next Thursday to face Vanderbilt at 6 p.m., in what will be the first of two conference matches at home next week, as the Hogs face Kentucky next Saturday at 1 p.m.
Scouting Baylor
The 5th-ranked Bears have three individuals ranked inside the Oracle/ITA top-125, led by Johannes Schretter at No. 42. Schretter owns a 3-4 record since January, but has faced nine ranked opponents since the fall, going 3-6 against ranked competition. Behind Schretter is Will Little at No. 65 and Matias Soto at No. 77. In doubles, the Bears tout the second-ranked doubles pair with Sven Lah and his partner Jimmy Bendeck.
