Arkansas Set to Compete in ITA Central Region Championships

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas women’s tennis team continues its fall season as they travel to Lawrence, Kansas, for the ITA Central Region Championships hosted by the University of Kansas. The tournament runs from October 12-16 at the Jayhawk Tennis Center located in Rock Chalk Park.

The Razorbacks will be competing against student-athletes from over 20 schools across the central region. The five-day event begins on October 12 at 9 a.m. and concludes on October 16. Winners of the singles and doubles draws, along with other finalists, will qualify for the ITA National Fall Championships in November.

The Hogs will look to improve on their performances from last week’s tournaments in Dallas at the SMU Fall Invite and in Cary, N.C., at the ITA All-American Championships. Sophomore Morgan McCarthy will take on Anastassiya Timofeyeva (Kansas City) at 9 a.m. CT tomorrow in singles play. Doubles draws have yet to be announced.
