Arkansas Trio Earns Web.com Tour Cards

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The final round of the Web.com Tour Qualifying Tournament wrapped up on Sunday, with a trio of former Arkansas men’s golfers earning their tour cards for the 2017 Web.com regular season.

Former Razorback All-American Taylor Moore continues to excel as a professional, posting a 14-under 282 to finish runner-up and earn exempt status through the first 12 events of the Web.com Tour season.

Ethan Tracy and Andrew Landry finished T-32nd and T-42nd respectively and are guaranteed entry into the first eight events of the regular season.

Just six month removed from leading Arkansas to a top 15 finish at the NCAA National Championship in Eugene, Oregon, Moore has quickly transitioned to his life as a professional, finishing in the top five on the money list on PGA Tour Canada and now earning exempt status on the Web.com Tour.

“I’m just excited,” said Moore after his runner-up finish on Sunday. “It’ll be really nice to have a full schedule, be able to plan and having the opportunity to get my PGA Tour Card will be pretty exciting. I’m just looking forward to get going this upcoming season.”

Moore made a splash on PGA Tour Canada over the summer where he captured his first professional victory at the Staal Foundation Open and earned a spot to make his PGA Tour debut the following the week at the 2016 RBC Canadian Open at Glen Abbey Country Club.

Landry made national headlines of his own over the summer, posting the lowest opening round score in a U.S. Open at Oakmont Country Club when he rolled in a 10-foot birdie putt on the 18th hole to cap a 4-under 66 and hold a one-shot lead in the second major of the year. He ended up in the final pairing on Sunday and finished T-15th overall.

Tracy didn’t lack any storylines either at the 2016 U.S. Open, making the cut after entering the weekend at 3-over par and T-30th overall. He went on to finish T-65th in his major championship debut.

The Web.com will hand out 50 PGA Tour Cards for the 2017-18 season with the top 25 players on the regular season money list earning their way onto the PGA Tour, while another 25 cards will be awarded during the 2017 Web.com Tour Finals, culminating with the season-ending Tour Championship.

The 2017 Web.com Tour season officially begins on Jan. 9-15 at The Bahamas Great Exuma Classic.
