Arkansas Will Face Auburn in SEC Tournament as the 10th Seed
FAYETTEVILLE – The Arkansas women’s basketball team (18-13, 6-10 SEC) will play as the 10th seed in the SEC Tournament, receiving an opening round bye. Arkansas will play seventh seed Auburn (19-10, 8-8 SEC) on Thursday, March 7. The two teams will tipoff at 5 p.m. CT from the Bon Secours Wellness Center in Greenville, South Carolina on the SEC Network.
Thursday night’s winner will play No. 2 seed LSU on Friday, March 8 at 5 p.m. CT, which will also be broadcast on the SEC Network.
Arkansas defeated Auburn in the teams’ lone meeting on Feb. 4 in Fayetteville, 74-72. Auburn leads the all-time series, 23-22, with Thursday’s matchup marking the 46th of the all-time series. The two teams will square off in the tournament for the fourth time, as Arkansas has a 2-1 advantage in tournament games. The last time the two teams played in an SEC Tournament was 2020 in Greenville, as the fifth seed Hogs defeated Auburn, 90-68.
