Arkansas Women’s Tennis Falls to Florida

The Razorbacks fell to the Florida Gators 4-0 at Billingsley Tennis Center. The Hogs drop to 8-3 (0-2) on the season.

The Hogs fought hard but dropped the doubles point. No. 25 Carolina Gomez and Anet Koskel took down No. 23 Xinyi Nong and Nikola Daubnerova, 6-3. Brooke Schafer and Jimena Gomez fell to Valery Gynina and Brooke Black, 6-2. Arina Babenko and Alexandra Panagiotidou fell to India Houghton and Lucie Pawlak, 6-4.

The Gators took 3 straight singles matches, defeating the Razorbacks 4-0. Alexandra Panagiotidou fell to Brooke Black, 6-0, 6-3. Jimena Gomez fell to No. Lucie Pawlak, 6-3, 6-1. Brooke Schafer fell to India Houghton, 6-4, 6-2.

The Hogs are back in action on Sunday at Auburn, when they take on the Tigers and Eastern Kentucky.
