California trip includes pair of meets for Razorbacks
WALNUT, California – A visit to Southern California has the Razorbacks competing at the 66th Mt. SAC Relays as well as the Bryan Clay Invitational hosted by Azusa this weekend.
Coverage of both meets is available through live streams from subscription services. Mt. SAC Relays will be on runnerspace.com while Bryan Clay Invitational is available with flotrack.org.
Josphine Mwaura competes in the 10,000m at Azusa on Thursday evening while Madeleine Gear races in the 1,500m on Saturday.
The majority of the Arkansas squad competes at the Mt. SAC Relays on Friday and Saturday.

Twin sisters Makenna and Morgan Herbst, in their freshman season with the Razorbacks, competed at Carlsbad High School in Southern California near San Diego. Last year, as seniors in high school, Makenna won the 800m at Mt. SAC Relays in 2:04.90 while Morgan finished second in the 300m hurdles in 40.57. They both ran on the winning 4 x 400m relay.
Competition at the Mt. SAC Relays started on Wednesday for Arkansas alum Taliyah Brooks, who leads the heptathlon through the first day with 3,866 points over Beatrice Juskeviciute (3,739) and Erin Marsh (3,709).
Brooks scored 1,138 points in the 100m hurdles with a 12.91 performance. She topped the field in the high jump with a 5-9.25 (1.77) for 941 points. A shot put of 45-11.25 (14.00) placed fourth and added 794 points. A time of 23.87 in the 200m scored 993 points to reach her overall score for the first day lead.
