Carolina Gomez Alonso Named to SEC Community Service Team

The Southeastern Conference announced the SEC Women’s Tennis Community Service team earlier today. Arkansas’ Carolina Gomez Alonso was named to the team for the first time in her career.

Gomez Alonso leads the Razorbacks in service hours and is very involved off the court. The senior has proven that she is invested in bettering her future, while making a difference in her community.

Carolina volunteered with shop with the Razorbacks; this event benefitted 30 local families during the holidays. She also donated items and time at the annual Friendsgiving Drive that benefits 7Hills Shelter. They donated toiletry items for the shelter and helped to pack and deliver the bags for individuals at 7Hills.

Gomez Alonso and the Razorbacks will take the court later today as they face off against Texas in Fayetteville at 5:00 p.m. at the Billingsley Tennis Center.
