Clary Announces Signing of Alexandra Panagiotidou

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas women’s tennis head coach Tucker Clary has announced that Alexandra Panagiotidou, the No. 1 player in Greece’s U18 rankings and daughter of former Razorback and 1999 ITA All-American Maria Pavlidou, has signed a National Letter of Intent and will join the Hogs next fall.

Panagiotidou earned a new career-high ITF Junior Ranking of No. 275 earlier this week while posting a 32-13 singles record alongside a 30-10 doubles record in ITF Junior tournaments this year. Panagiotidou has amassed 93 singles wins and 72 doubles victories over the last four years in ITF Junior events and possess a 71% win rate in singles matches in addition to a 67% win rate in doubles matches during that span.

In her latest competition, Panagiotidou won the singles title at the J100 Nicosia to claim her third singles championship in 2024 and fifth overall. Panagiotidou has secured six doubles titles this year and nine overall since 2022, winning six championships with her younger sister, Lydia.

Panagiotidou is the daughter of former Razorback women’s tennis player and 1999 ITA All-American Maria Pavlidou. Pavlidou qualified for the NCAA Singles Championships each year from 1997-99 and ranks T-second in program history for career singles wins (107), 10th in career doubles wins by an Arkansas pairing (27, with Brandy Brown) and 10th in career doubles win percentage (.720, with Brown).
