Daniel Quinn Earns SEC Weekly Accolade

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas sophomore Daniel Quinn has been named the SEC field athlete of the week, it was announced by the conference office on Tuesday.

A native of McKinney, Texas, Quinn has earned the weekly award for the first time in his young Razorback career.

At Texas Relays, Quinn was the first Razorback to register a NCAA regional-qualifying mark of the 2007 season. He finished second of the 15 competitors in the long jump with his mark of 24-4.5 and the mark currently ranks fourth in the SEC and 15th in the nation. His leap is also a personal best, replacing his previous best of 24-1.75 set at the 2006 SEC Championships.

Quinn and the Razorbacks will travel to Walnut, Calif., April 13-15, for Mt. SAC Relays at Wilmer Lodge Stadium. For more details and a schedule, visit relays.mtsac.edu.
