Student-athletes on the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District first team advance to the national ballot.

With a GPA of 3.50 as a sociology major, Ulrey has earned his second academic award of the season. He was also named the SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year last month.

Ulrey will compete in the 1,500 meters at the NCAA Outdoor Championships next week. He ranks No. 9 on the NCAA list with a season- and personal-best time of 3:41.39, clocked to win the 2009 SEC Outdoor 1,500-meter title.
