Ferraguti Earns Second Honorable Mention

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Razorbacks rounded out the NCAA Championship with yet another stellar day in the pool beginning this morning with a Bella Cothern personal best in the 100 Free and ending with Alessia Ferraguti earning her second All-American Honorable Mention in as many days.

In the prelim for the 100 Free, Bella Cothern broke her previous personal best by more than two-tenths of a second, finishing in 48.70 She nearly eclipsed her mark in the 50 Free yesterday and continued a string of great performances. “It is very special,” Cothern said, “because my biggest goal was to just make it individually to NCAAs and achieving that just shows that all of my hard work paid off.” Betsy Wizard swam in the prelim for the 200 Fly, finishing in 1:58.06.

Alessia Ferraguti sped her way to a 15th-place 2:08.16 finish in the 200 Breaststroke prelim, notching her second B-Final spot of the championships. In the B-Final. Ferraguti had a stellar swim in the final, finishing 13th in 2:07.86, just shy of her PB in 200 Breast, earning another All-American Honorable Mention.
