Final home meet ends with a Razorback win

Fayetteville, Ark. – Arkansas Swimming and Diving finished their final home meet of the season with 14 event wins on Saturday afternoon to top visiting Kansas 181-112. Razorback swimmers Kobie Melton, Vanessa Herrmann, Luciana Thomas, Alessia Ferraguti, and Andrea Sansores closed out the afternoon with two wins each while diver Grace Walker qualified for NCAA Zones with her score of 260.70 in platform dive.

Head Coach Neil Harper: “What a great day for our six seniors. They all competed with confidence and led the team with wins individually and on relays. We are thankful for their contributions to our program from those that have been here one and two short years, those that have been here four, and our super seniors that have been great Razorbacks for five years. We know we will miss them next year but are excited for what they will do at the SEC and NCAA Championships in the next couple of months.”

Diving Coach Abel Sanchez: “The ladies did a great job. We had two qualify for NCAA Zones, and even though this was an exhibition event, it was a prelude to our SEC Championships, NCAA Zones, and NCAA Championships. They are working hard and I’m proud of them.”
