First look at new NIKE uniforms

FAYETTEVILLE – With Razorback Athletics upcoming switch to NIKE and the kickoff to the football season just a little more than three months away, the Razorback football team got an early glimpse at 2010 game day uniforms as the first combination arrived in Fayetteville recently from NIKE.

NIKE will produce a total of two uniforms and four combinations for the Razorbacks for the upcoming season. All uniform combinations blend the official school colors of cardinal and white.

Arkansas quarterback Ryan Mallett wore the home uniform recently in a photo shoot for The Sporting News, which is set to hit retail locations by early July 2010. In the shoot, Mallett is featured as the top quarterback in the nation. Mallett also took several photos for the Arkansas athletic department that will be utilized in materials throughout the upcoming year. To see video of the photo shoot click here.

In November of 2009, Arkansas announced it had agreed to terms on a five-year all sports agreement with NIKE Inc. that will provide Razorback Athletics with footwear and apparel for all 19 sports. Nike will become the exclusive provider for Razorback Athletics beginning July 1, 2010.
