Five Razorbacks Land on CSC Academic All-District Team

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Five Razorbacks, including Kuhio Aloy, Steele Eaves, Reese Robinett, Nolan Souza and Zack Stewart, were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team recognizing the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.

Aloy, the Razorbacks’ primary designated hitter, slashed .293/.352/.486 with eight doubles, nine home runs and 41 RBI in 49 games before his campaign was cut short due to an injury. Off the field, the Wailuku, Hawaiʻi, native maintained a 3.89 GPA while pursuing his degree in recreation and sport management.

Eaves made a team-leading 28 appearances, including one start, on the mound during the season, posting a 7-1 record with a 3.92 ERA, 39 strikeouts and one save in 43.2 innings of work. Off the field, the Lonoke, Ark., native maintained a 3.76 GPA while pursuing his degree in recreation and sport management.

Robinett, the Razorback first baseman, slashed .256/.373/.401 with 13 doubles, four home runs and 28 RBI in 54 games during the season. Off the field, the Kennett, Mo., native maintained a 3.68 GPA while pursuing his degree in agricultural business.

Souza, Arkansas’ starting second baseman, slashed .272/.360/.402 with 15 doubles, four home runs and 35 RBI to go along with 14 stolen bases in 60 games on the year. Off the field, the Honolulu, Hawai’i, native maintained a 3.73 GPA while pursuing his degree in recreation and sport management.

Stewart, the Hogs’ right fielder, slashed .265/.399/.571 with seven doubles, 15 home runs and 39 RBI in 52 during the season. Off the field, the Lebanon, Mo., native, who spent three years at Missouri State prior to Arkansas, maintained a 3.75 GPA while pursuing his degree in interdisciplinary studies.

Additionally, Aloy was selected as a CSC Academic All-America finalist, advancing to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced on June 23.
