Four Razorbacks Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas women’s tennis’ Kacie Harvey, Kelly Keller, Lenka Stara and Morgan Cross were named to the 2023 Academic All-District Women’s Tennis Team as selected by the College Sports Communicators on Tuesday. This honor recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
Harvey, a graduate student, earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at UNC Chapel Hill and is currently pursuing her MBA in Finance at the University of Arkansas, maintaining a 3.827 GPA. Through the spring season, Harvey went 8-10 overall in singles play at the No. 6 spot for the Razorbacks.
In the classroom, senior Kelly Keller has maintained a 3.820 GPA as she pursues her Bachelor’s degree in Journalism with a concentration in Advertising and Public Relations. Keller is ranked No. 56 in the latest ITA Rankings and was selected to compete in the NCAA Singles Championships later this month. Keller played at the No. 1 position for Arkansas through the dual season, posting a 12-14 singles record and a 17-7 doubles record.
Junior Lenka Stara is working towards her Bachelor’s degree in Recreation and Sport Management, holding a 3.674 GPA. Stara clinched the upset over Auburn this spring for the Razorbacks, posting a 14-19 singles record. In doubles, Stara and her partner are ranked No. 76 as they went 21-9 overall this season.
In her junior season, Cross has maintained a 3.636 GPA in Sociology and Criminology. Cross has been an important part of Arkansas’ success throughout the season, posting a 15-5 singles record. In doubles, Cross is ranked No. 45 and plays at the top spot for the Razorbacks.
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced June 1.
