Four TV Appearances Coming to Bogle Park

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – As part of Tuesday’s release by the conference office, the University of Arkansas softball team will make nine national television appearances against SEC opponents this season including four games originating from Bogle Park. An additional 17 home games will be streamed on SEC Network+ and through the WatchESPN app.

On the heels of a return to the NCAA Tournament last season, the Razorbacks open their 2018 campaign Feb. 9-10 at the Lion Classic in Hammond, La. Arkansas begins its year receiving votes in the NFCA and USA Softball preseason polls.

After 14 games on the road to start the season, Arkansas’ home opener is scheduled for Feb. 28 with a midweek matchup against Missouri State. The Razorbacks’ schedule features 25 home games and 12 teams that played in last year’s NCAA Tournament. Admission for home games at Bogle Park is free for all fans.

In halting a three-year absence from the postseason, Arkansas posted a 31-24 record during the 2017 season which marked a 14-win improvement in the program’s second year under head coach Courtney Deifel. The Razorbacks return nine starters from last year’s team including their four-player senior class of A.J. Belans, Autumn Buczek, Tori Cooper and Loren Krzysko. Belans was an All-SEC performer last season while sophomore Autumn Storms earned All-SEC and all-region accolades.
