Franklin Collects SEC Weekly Honor
FAYETTEVILLE – Arkansas midfielder Bea Franklin was named SEC Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.
Franklin had a hand in both of No. 11 Arkansas’ wins this week. On Thursday against No. 9 Alabama, she netted the game-winning goal four minutes into the match and assisted in the Hogs’ third goal. At Texas A&M, Franklin assisted in Kennedy Ball’s game-winning goal with 14 minutes left to play.
Franklin led the league with two assists this week. The honor is her first from the SEC.
Franklin and the Hogs will be back in action on Thursday, September 28, at Mizzou.
