Franklin Earns National Weekly Honors
FAYETTEVILLE – Arkansas midfielder Bea Franklin earned a spot on College Soccer News’ national team of the week and an honorable mention on TopDrawerSoccer’s national team of the week.
Franklin had a hand in both of No. 11 Arkansas’ wins this week. On Friday in the SEC opener at Tennessee, Franklin recorded her second career brace and scored the game-winner against the Vols to give Arkansas a solid start to SEC play. On Sunday against Grand Canyon, Franklin recorded an assist, her first of the season, on Bella Field’s last-second game-winner to close out non-conference play with a win.
Franklin led the SEC in points (5) and goals (2) this week and leads Arkansas in goals (4) and points (9) for the season.
Franklin and the Hogs will be back in action on Thursday, September 21, to face No. 7 Alabama at Razorback Fiel
