Goodman James Pens Third Recruit

FAYETTEVILLE — University of Arkansas swimming head coach Anne Goodman James signed the Lady Razorbacks third member of the 2006 class Olesya Senicheva, during the early signing period.

The St. Petersburg, Russia, native is a butterfly specialists and also competes in the sprint freestyle events.

Goodman James said she was excited about Senicheva’s signing, who joins Allison Chinn and Lauren Grandy as the newest Lady’Backs.

“We are thrilled to add Olesya to our list of new Lady Razorback swimmers,” Goodman James said. “She is an outstanding butterflier who will make an impact immediately. She will also be a major contributor in the 100 and 200 freestyle events for us.”

Senicheva personal best performances in the butterfly events include the 100 fly (1:02.05) and 200 fly (2:17.5). In the freestyle events, Senicheva recorded best finishes in the 100 (57.7) and 200 (2:05.4).
