
Harbin Rewarded for High Octane Performances
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – On the strength of career-high performances and a pair of double-double efforts, senior co-captain Danielle Harbin has been named the Southeastern Conference Offensive Player of the Week as announced by the league Monday afternoon. She totaled 50 kills in a pair of Arkansas wins over Mississippi State and Georgia at Barnhill Arena. This marks the first career SEC weekly honor for Harbin.

For the week, Harbin averaged 5.56 kills per set, 3.33 digs per set and 0.78 blocks per set to go along with her second and third double-double outings of the season. The Mobile, Alabama, native opened the week with 23 kills and a career-high 18 digs in a four-set win over Mississippi State. With her 15th kill against the Bulldogs, she became the 25th player in program history to reach 600 career kills.
Harbin capped the week with a career-best 27 kills in the Razorbacks’ come-from-behind win over Georgia. She added 12 digs to complete the double-double and established a season high with six total blocks in the match. In the fourth set alone, she put down 10 kills to help Arkansas erase a 0-2 match deficit on in route to its second victory of the week.
During her senior campaign, Harbin has registered double figures in 18 of 23 matches including six outings with 20 or more kills. Harbin enters the week second in the conference at 4.23 kills per set and 4.70 points per set. Among the nation’s top attackers, she ranks 34th in kills per set and 33rd in points per set.
Arkansas returns to action Sunday, Nov. 6 for a road contest at Alabama. First serve of that match is set for 1 p.m. (CT) on the SEC Network. The Razorbacks’ next home match is Wednesday, Nov. 9 against No. 18 Kentucky.
