Hogs and Dogs Coming Up Wednesday in Athens

The No. 8 Razorbacks will conclude a five-match road swing with a midweek tilt against the Georgia Bulldogs on Wednesday at 6 p.m. in Athens.

Arkansas has gone 3-1 in the last four on the road, which includes a win over No. 20 Florida on Sunday, the team’s first over the Gators in eight years, first-ever in Athens, and first for head coach Jason Watson.

Along with the win at Florida, the Razorbacks defeated the South Carolina Gamecocks 3-1 in Columbia on Friday. Following the pair of victories and some unexpected results among the rest of the top 10 teams, Arkansas moved up to No. 8 in the AVCA Coaches Poll this week, the new program high and the first time in single digits for the Hogs.

Arkansas also checks in at No. 8 in this week’s NCAA RPI, and the DI Women’s Volleyball Committee put the Razorbacks at No. 9 in its latest top 10 ranking, which combines a variety of criteria in consideration for postseason seedings.

The Hogs are currently 10-1 and first in the SEC standings, while the Bulldogs come in at No. 7 with a 5-5 record. Arkansas will be looking to avenge a five-set loss suffered in Athens last season, with Wednesday’s contest serving as the only one between the two teams this season.

First serve is set for 6 p.m. CT and the match will be streamed live on SEC Network+.
