Hogs Close Out Midweek Slate against Demons

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – No. 22 Arkansas (29-16) closes out the midweek portion of its season with a pair of games against Northwestern State (25-19) from April 28-29 at Baum-Walker Stadium. First pitch in the double midweek series opener is set for 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, on SEC Network+ with Brett Dolan (play-by-play) and Troy Eklund (analyst) on the call.

The Razorbacks will conclude their midweek slate against the Demons at 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, on SEC Network+ with Dolan and Eklund on the call for the finale. Entering Tuesday night’s double midweek series opener, Arkansas is 9-2 in midweek games, including an 8-1 mark in midweek matchups at Baum-Walker Stadium, during the 2026 campaign.

The double midweek series against the Demons also marks the start of the Hogs’ final seven-game homestand of the year inside the friendly confines of Baum-Walker Stadium. Excluding the 2020 campaign, Arkansas, 17-10 at home this year, has won at least 19 games at Baum-Walker Stadium every season under head coach Dave Van Horn (2003-pres.).

Arkansas’ Tate McGuire will start on the mound in Tuesday night’s double midweek series opener against Northwestern State. The right-hander from Liberty, Mo., has made 13 appearances, including three starts, and owns a 0-0 record, 3.86 ERA and 27 strikeouts in 29.0 innings of work this season. McGuire made his first midweek start of the season against Little Rock on April 7, working three scoreless frames with a strikeout in Arkansas’ 7-0 win, before his second midweek start in the 12-4 win against Missouri State on April 21 in which he fired 3.2 innings of two-run ball with four strikeouts.
