Hogs Head to Baton Rouge for First SEC Road Match
After opening the conference slate with three home victories, the No. 13 Razorbacks will have their first SEC road test this week as the Hogs take on the LSU Tigers in Baton Rouge on Wednesday.
Both the Razorbacks and Tigers are coming off wins, Arkansas against Auburn last Wednesday and LSU against Mississippi State on Sunday. The Hogs are currently 13-2, 3-0 in the SEC and the Tigers are 7-6, 2-1 in the SEC.
The Razorbacks checked in at No. 13 in Monday’s AVCA Coaches Poll, which matches the program record for highest ranking ever, last seen in 1998. The first NCAA RPI ranking also came out on Monday, and Arkansas came in at No. 11, the second highest RPI in program history.
Wednesday’s match is slated for 7 p.m. and will be streamed live on SEC Network+.
Scouting the Series: LSU
- The Tigers’ first three SEC opponents of the season have been Kentucky, Missouri and Mississippi State and LSU is on a two-match win streak
- Freshman OH Jurnee Robinson checks in behind Jill Gillen at No. 2 in the SEC in kills per set at 4.11
