The Razorback volleyball team heads out for the second of two away non-conference tournaments this weekend as the Hogs are set to compete in the Buffs Invitational in Boulder, Colo.

Arkansas will play one match a day Friday-Sunday, starting with host Colorado on Friday at 7 p.m. The Buffs are currently 6-0 on the season and have dropped just two sets over those matches. One of those victories includes a sweep over Tulsa, who Arkansas fell to in the Wooo Pig Invitational finale last week. The Hogs and Buffaloes have faced off just once before, a 3-0 victory for Arkansas in 2022.

On Saturday at 4 p.m., the Razorbacks will play Denver. It’s just the second-ever meeting between the two teams, the first a loss for the Hogs in 2008. Denver is off to a 4-1 start, its only loss in the team’s season opener against then-No. 21 USC.

Arkansas’ final contest of the Buffs Invitational is another second-time match-up, against the Toledo Rockets. The Hogs faced the Rockets back in in 2003, a five-set victory for Arkansas. Under first-year head coach Brian Wright, Toledo is 5-1. The Rockets are coming off their first loss of the season, a five-setter against UIC. Sunday’s first serve is set for noon.

The Razorbacks are searching for their first win since opening the season with a 3-1 victory against Kennesaw State. Of their four losses, two have come in five sets. Arkansas’ team is the youngest it’s been in several seasons with 3-4 underclassmen regularly starting, including two true freshmen for the first time since the 2019 season.
