Hogs Host Bulldogs on Saturday for Pink Match
The Razorbacks return home on Saturday evening for an SEC showdown against the Georgia Bulldogs at 5 p.m.
The two teams have not played in Fayetteville since 2018, and it’s just the third home meeting between the two in head coach Jason Watson’s tenure. The Razorbacks hold the advantage in the all-time series 27-12, and Arkansas won both matches against Georgia last season.
The Bulldogs are 4-9 this season and 0-2 in SEC play after losses against South Carolina and No. 22 Florida. They returned all but one starter this year and freshman setter Clara Brower has made an immediate impact. Her 9.09 assists per set come in at seventh in the SEC.
Arkansas leads Georgia in assists, kills, blocks and aces among conference opponents. The Bulldogs have a slight advantage in hitting percentage at .236 to the Hogs’ .234.
Saturday commemorates the team’s annual Pink Match to recognize and honor breast cancer fighters and survivors. All fans will have an opportunity pre-match to stand up, along with the student athletes from both Arkansas and Georgia, with a tribute card commemorating someone that they know who is currently battling or has battled cancer. Pink Razorback Volleyball shirts will be given to the first 100 fans in attendance, and Zeta Tau Alpha will be distributing pink ribbons.
Additionally, the Southwest Classic Trophy will be in the building at Barnhill for the match, and fans can take photos near the marketing table from when doors open at 4 p.m. until the end of the second set.
The match will be streamed on SEC Network+ and live stats will be provided.
Tickets are still available online or by calling the Razorback Ticket Center at (479) 575-5151.
