FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Behind a five-inning shutout from senior LHP Robyn Herron, the No. 6/9 Arkansas Razorbacks earned their 20th run-rule of the season with a 10-0 five-inning drubbing of Auburn on Saturday afternoon at Bogle Park.
With the win, Arkansas is now 31-5 this season and 6-4 in SEC play. The Hogs’ 20 run-rule victories this season rank second in program history, trailing only the 2025 Razorbacks’ 23.
Herron was dominant during her 49th career victory, striking out eight and allowing just two hits and three walks in five shutout innings of work. With the win, Herron improved to 11-2 on the season. Arkansas is now 34-6 when Herron pitches 5+ innings in her collegiate career.
The Razorbacks plated two runs in the second inning, three runs in the third inning, and five runs in the fourth inning during the series-opening win.
Kailey Wyckoff blasted her fourth home run of the season with a three-run shot during the bottom of the fourth inning. The Katy, Texas product had a 2-2 day with three RBI and three runs scored while drawing a walk. Kennedy Miller also paced the Hogs with a 2-2 day that included two RBI and a sacrifice bunt. Karlie Davison also drove in a pair of runs with a sacrifice fly and an RBI single in the win.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Both teams went with their aces in the opener as Robyn Herron got the ball for Arkansas and Ella Harrison made the start for Auburn.
Herron spun a 1-2-3 top of the first inning while striking out two. Brinli Bain walked with one out in the bottom of the first inning before immediately advancing to second on a passed ball. Bain later moved to third on a wild pitch before Dakota Kennedy walked with two outs to put runners on the corners. Harrison would then issue a groundout to shortstop to end the inning and keep the Hogs off the scoreboard.
In the top of the second inning, Herron registered two more strikeouts in the frame while the Tigers’ Ma’Nia Womack reached on catcher’s interference to become the first baserunner of the game for Auburn.
Arkansas took a 2-0 lead in the home half of the second inning. Atalyia Rijo walked to lead off the inning and took second on an infield single from Kailey Wyckoff. Both runners then advanced on a beautifully placed sacrifice bunt from Kennedy Miller. Karlie Davison then flew out to deep left-center field to bring home Rijo with a sacrifice fly before Reagan Johnson increased the Hogs’ lead to two with an RBI single up the middle.
Herron kept the Tigers off the board in the top of the third inning. The Tigers put two on with just one out in the frame, courtesy of a leadoff walk from Ava Ratliff and a one-out single from Kylie Shaw. Miller then made an outstanding play behind the plate for the second out of the frame, blocking a pitch in the dirt and firing a strike to third base, catching Ratliff, who was trying to advance on the play. Following a two-out walk, Dakota Kennedy robbed the Tigers’ McKaela Walker of a would-be extra-base hit with a diving grab in the gap in left-center field.
Ella McDowell led off the bottom of the third inning with a walk before advancing to second base on an error that allowed Dakota Kennedy. A two-out walk from Kailey Wyckoff loaded the bases. Following Wyckoff’s walk, Arkansas increased its lead to five courtesy of a two-RBI single from Miller and an RBI single down the left-field line from Davison.
Auburn’s Haven Roebuck doubled down the left-field line with one out in the top of the fourth for the Tigers’ second and final hit of the contest. Herron retired her other three batters faced by way of a strikeout, foulout and groundout.
In the bottom of the fourth inning, Arkansas added its final five runs of the contest to make it the final, 10-0. Brinli Bain singled up the middle to lead off the inning. Ella McDowell walked and Dakota Kennedy laid down a bunt single to load the bases before an Auburn error increased the Arkansas lead to six. Following the Tiger’s error, a wild pitch plated McDowell, making it 7-0 Arkansas. Wyckoff then smashed her fourth home run of the season, a three-run shot to right field to push the Hogs’ lead to 10.
Ratliff walked to lead off the top of the fifth inning. Following the free pass, Herron finished the victory by fanning her next two batters faced before issuing a game-ending flyout to left field.
