Hogs Take Down Kansas in Final Home Meet

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Razorbacks secured a decisive victory over Kansas on Friday afternoon, winning by a score of 171-128. Razorback seniors showed out in their final meet in the Arkansas Natatorium.

Arkansas set the tone in the meet’s opening event, claiming 1st place in the 200 Medley Relay with a time of 1:40.37, thanks to a strong performance from Gracie Colvin, Bradi Jones, Bella Cothern, and Delaney Harrison- the Razorbacks’ A Relay. The Razorbacks’ B relay team also impressed with a 3rd-place finish.

Reka Rohacs and Sydney Craft dominated the distance freestyle events, finishing 1st and 2nd in the 1000 Freestyle with times of 9:59.59 and 10:04.14, respectively. Rohacs and Craft repeated their 1-2 finish in the 500 Freestyle, with Rohacs clocking 4:51.00 and Craft finishing at 4:53.90. Bara Matoskova added to the Razorbacks’ points with a 3rd-place finish in the 200 Freestyle, while Rebecca Simpson swam to a 1st-place finish in the event with a time of 1:48.45. Holly Robinson placed 5th.

In the 50 Freestyle, Bella Cothern claimed victory in with a solid 22.78, and Allie Thome followed with a solid 5th-place performance. Cothern added another win to her tally in the 100 Butterfly, finishing at 53.92. Delaney Harrison excelled in the sprint freestyle events, finishing 1st in the 100 Freestyle with a time of 51.03. Matoskova added another podium finish with a 3rd-place swim in the 100 Free.

Arkansas’ divers also contributed crucial points, with Maria Jose Sanchez taking 2nd place in the 3-meter diving event and claiming victory in the 1-meter dive with a score of 315.90.

The meet concluded with a thrilling 400 Freestyle Relay, where Arkansas’ B team clinched the victory with a time of 3:22.74, sealing the deal on the win for the Razorbacks.
