Hogs Take on Sooners in First-Ever SEC Match-Up Sunday

The Arkansas Razorbacks and Oklahoma Sooners will face off in conference play for the first time ever on Sunday in Norman.

The Hogs and the Sooners have played each other seven times dating back to 2000, and Arkansas is 3-4 in that stretch. All four of those losses for the Razorbacks have come consecutively and since 2010.

Oklahoma is currently 1-2 in SEC play but has faced a tough opening to the conference slate. The Sooners opened with a close five-set loss to No. 15 Florida, upset No. 20 Tennessee next, and fell to No. 13 Kentucky in five sets on Wednesday.

Arkansas is 2-0 in league competition with a five-set victory over Georgia and a sweep of Ole Miss last week.

The Sooners are the second-best blocking team in the conference with 2.76 blocks per set to Arkansas’ 2.17 and are also hitting at a fourth-best hitting clip of .279 to the Hogs’ .243.

Sunday’s match is set for 2 p.m. at McCasland Field House at the University of Oklahoma and will be live streamed via SEC Network+.
