Hogs, Trojans Tangle Tuesday at Baum-Walker Stadium

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Unanimous No. 1 Arkansas (19-3) takes on in-state foe Little Rock (13-11) Tuesday, March 26, in the start of a 10-game homestand at Baum-Walker Stadium. First pitch between the Razorbacks and Trojans, originally scheduled for 6:30 p.m., is now 3 p.m. on SEC Network+ due to the forecasted cold temperatures Tuesday evening.

Arkansas is set to embark on its second 10-plus game homestand of the year. The Hogs went undefeated during their 12-game homestand earlier this season from Feb. 27-March 17, marking, in terms of winning percentage, their most successful homestand of the Dave Van Horn era, as well as their winningest homestand in program history since 1985.

The Razorbacks are a perfect 3-0 in midweek games, including a 1-0 record against in-state foes, this season. Arkansas defeated Grambling (Feb. 27), 21-1 in seven innings, in its first midweek contest of the season before downing in-state opponent UCA (March 5), 9-7, and, most recently, picking up a 4-2 midweek win against Oral Roberts (March 12).

Arkansas maintains a 4-2 overall series lead against Little Rock. All six previous games of the series between the Razorbacks and Trojans have occurred in the Dave Van Horn era and have been played at Baum-Walker Stadium.

Natural State Showdown
The Razorbacks are 17-2 against in-state opponents since 1960. Arkansas boasts a 5-0 overall record against UCA, a 5-0 overall record against UAPB, a 3-0 overall record against Arkansas State and a 4-2 overall record against Little Rock.

Home Sweet Baum-Walker
The Hogs are 15-1 (.938 winning percentage) inside the friendly confines of Baum-Walker Stadium this season.

Earlier this season, Arkansas went undefeated during its 12-game homestand from Feb. 27-March 17, marking, in terms of winning percentage, its most successful homestand of the Dave Van Horn era, as well as its winningest homestand in program history since 1985, when the Razorbacks went undefeated during a 15-game homestand from Feb. 16-March 9.

Excluding the shortened 2020 campaign, the Hogs have won 28 or more games at home in six consecutive seasons, including a program-record 34 wins in 2018. In 2023, Arkansas went 32-6 (.842 winning percentage) at Baum-Walker Stadium, marking the Hogs’ fourth 30-win season at home since the stadium opened in 1996.
