Hogue Earns Third SEC Setter of the Week Honor
After pacing the Hog offense to another successful weekend, junior Hannah Hogue has won the SEC Setter of the Week award for the third time this season.
Hogue led the Hogs with 79 total assists over the team’s 3-0 and 3-1 victories against South Carolina and Texas A&M, respectively. In the team’s SEC opener against the Gamecocks, she had 35 assists and 13 digs for her sixth double-double of the season.
Versus the Aggies, Hogue tallied 44 assists over the team’s four sets and had eight digs. Over the weekend, she had three aces and three kills. Hogue has posted at least one ace in all but two of the Hogs’ 14 matches so far and has a dozen kills, the most for any Arkansas setter since 2021, less than halfway through the season.
Hannah is currently second in the SEC in assists per set at 11.22, first in total assists with 572, and fourth in the SEC in aces per set with 0.47.
The Fort Smith, Ark. native is the first Razorback ever to win back-to-back Setter of the Week honors, the first since 2017 to win any weekly award in consecutive weeks, and the first SEC setter to receive three in the first five weeks since Georgia’s Meghan Donovan in 2018.
Hogue and the No. 14 Hogs return to action with a top 25 match-up against No. 24 Auburn on Wednesday, Sept. 27 at Barnhill Arena. The contest is set for 7 p.m. and will be broadcast live on SEC Network.
