Jim Mabry to Serve as Honorary Captain for Arkansas-Auburn Game

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas is proud to announce former Razorback offensive tackle as the honorary captain for the Arkansas-Auburn football game on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2005.

The University of Arkansas Men’s Athletic Department will present an honorary captain for each Fayetteville home game this season. Each honorary captain will be honored prior to the game on the field, recognized on the SmartVision and will accompany the Razorback captains to midfield for the coin toss. The honorary captain will also appear at the Fuji Film Legends Tent in the SBC Trough approximately 90 minutes before game time.

Jim Mabry lettered with the Razorbacks from 1986 to 1989. Mabry earned All-Southwest Conference honors in 1988 and 1989 and All-America Honors in 1989.

Mabry anchored an offensive line that won back to back Southwest Conference titles and helped the Hogs average an astounding 453 yards per game in offense. Mabry is also a member of the 1980s Razorback all-decade team.
