Johnson Named to SEC Community Service Team

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas junior center fielder Reagan Johnson has been selected to the 2025 SEC Community Service Team, the league office announced Tuesday.

The SEC sponsors Community Service Teams for all 22 league-sponsored sports. The Community Service Team looks to highlight an athlete from each school who gives back to their community in superior service efforts.

Johnson has volunteered in numerous events in the Fayetteville area during the 2024-25 academic year. This fall, she helped coach local youth softball teams in the Northwest Arkansas area, inspiring and mentoring the younger generation of athletes. In October, Johnson helped at the annual trunk or treat, which is a local event that is put on for local youth to trick or treat at Fayetteville High School. She visited Ramay Junior High School to meet with students during their annual pep rally day. In addition to individual events, Johnson also volunteered in team events, helping out with the Miracle League Burger competition in Northwest Arkansas, which helped raise money for the Miracle League, a baseball league that removes the barriers that keep children with mental and physical disabilities off the baseball field and lets them experience the joy of America’s favorite pastime.

This season, the Karnes City, Texas, product has set the tone at the top of the Razorbacks order by batting .367 with a team-leading 62 hits in addition to five doubles, two triples, 11 RBI, 25 walks, and 19 stolen bases. She has posted 21 multi-hit games while recording a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage with 70 putouts and two assists in center field.

Johnson and the Razorbacks will open SEC Tournament play on Wednesday in Athens, Ga. The Razorbacks are slated to play the winner of No. 12 Georgia and No. 13 Kentucky on Wednesday, May 7, following the conclusion of the No. 8 Mississippi State/No. 9 LSU matchup, which begins at 11 a.m. The Hogs’ first game will be televised on SEC Network with Kevin Brown (PxP) and Amanda Scarborough (Analyst) on the call.
