Lance Lang runs 20.44 to post 10th fastest time at Arkansas
GAINESVILLE – Arkansas sprinter Lance Lang won his 200m section in 20.44 seconds and recorded the 10th fastest time by a Razorback in the event during the first day of the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational hosted by Florida.
Lang, who has a career best of 20.08 from the 2021 SEC Championships while at Kentucky, produced his best mark as a Razorback to place eighth overall. Lang bumps a 20.45 by Akheem Gauntlett set in 2012 from the No. 10 position.
Also racing in the 200m for Arkansas were Connor Washington (20.96) and Tevijon Williams (21.38).
John Scott Kendricks placed seventh in the pole vault, clearing 16-10.75 (5.15). He missed the height of 17-4.5 (5.30), which knocked out seven of the 14 vaulters from the competition.
Grant Williams won his section of the 400m hurdles in 52.16 to finish eighth overall.
