
Men’s Tennis Continue Homestand Against Tulsa
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas men’s tennis team (10-1) hosts their fifth-straight home match as they welcome Tulsa (4-2) to Billingsley Tennis Center. The Razorbacks and the Golden Hurricane will face off on Wednesday, February 15 at 6 p.m. CT.
Arkansas is coming off a huge win over Washington on Friday, defeating the Huskies 4-2. In the victory, the Razorbacks have now taken the doubles point in all ten of their wins. In doubles, juniors Adrien Burdet and Melvin Manuel are undefeated as a duo with a 3-0 record on court one. Freshman Gerard Planelles Ripoll leads the team in singles, holding a 9-1 record this dual season. Planelles Ripoll clinched the match win for the third-straight time and has won his last four matches.
The Golden Hurricane comes to Fayetteville after a 7-0 sweep over Oral Roberts, who the Razorbacks also swept earlier this season. Tulsa has notched wins over Texas Tech, Bryant and beat UCF in the ITA Kickoff Weekend to begin their spring. Senior Kody Pearson leads the team with a 4-1 singles record at the top spot and is currently ranked No. 58 in the latest ITA rankings. In doubles, Pearson teams up with Connor Di Marco for a 4-1 record and a three-match win streak to earn a spot at No. 51 in the doubles rankings.
