Men's Tennis Lands Transfer Eric Padgham

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Head coach Jay Udwadia has officially announced the signing of Arizona transfer Eric Padgham for the 2025-26 Razorback men’s tennis season.

The Australian native joins the Razorbacks after three years with the Wildcats. Padgham was a mainstay in the doubles lineup and played a significant role for Arizona, accumulating overall records of 63-21 in doubles and 20-12 in singles while amassing at least 20 doubles wins in all three seasons. The Wildcats advanced to the Sweet 16 in each year with Padgham in addition to capturing three conference regular season titles (2 Pac-12, 1 Big 12) and the 2024 Pac-12 tournament championship.

Padgham tied for the team lead in dual and overall doubles victories (20) as well as ranked doubles wins (5) during his 2024-25 campaign while primarily competing on the top two courts. Padgham finished with a 20-3 doubles record and was named First Team All-Big 12 (Doubles) alongside Jay Friend. Padgham and Friend ended the year at No. 66 in the ITA doubles rankings and No. 5 in the ITA Southwest Region doubles rankings. The duo also achieved a career-high ranking of No. 33 on March 18.

As a sophomore, Padgham compiled a 21-12 overall doubles record along with a 15-6 record during the dual season. Padgham totaled 13 victories at the No. 3 position and picked up two wins in Arizona’s victories over Boise State and Auburn during the 2024 NCAA Tournament. In his first year with the Wildcats, Padgham was the team leader in overall doubles wins and posted a 22-6 record. Padgham concluded the dual season at 11-4 and won the 2022 Jack Kramer Collegiate Classic doubles title with partner Dominique Rolland during the fall campaign.

The rising senior is from Brisbane, Australia and holds a career dual singles record of 8-0. Padgham becomes the second Arizona Wildcat to transfer to Arkansas under head coach Jay Udwadia, joining 2024 ITA Doubles All-American Jared Horwood.
