Men's Tennis Releases 2024 Fall Schedule

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas men’s tennis head coach Jay Udwadia announced the team’s 2024 fall schedule Thursday, opening fall competition next week in Fayetteville at Billingsley Tennis Center.

The Razorbacks host their first of two tournaments at Billingsley Tennis Center to open their fall slate, competing in the USTA 15K Fayetteville Futures from Sept. 16-22. The Hogs are then set to travel to Tulsa, Oklahoma, for two consecutive events – the ITA All-American Championships (Sept. 21-29) and the ITA Central Region Championships (Oct. 16-20).

The team returns to The Natural State to host the PTT 25K Fayetteville at Billingsley Tennis Center from Oct. 27-Nov. 3, while other members of the squad will take part in the Ralston/Neufeld Coaches Challenge hosted by Southern Methodist University from Nov. 1-3.

Various members of Arkansas’ squad will then play in potentially four overlapping tournaments from Nov. 7-10, starting with the ITA Conference Masters in San Diego (Nov. 7-10) and the ITA Sectional Championships in Fort Worth, Texas (Nov. 7-10). The Hogs will compete in the inaugural Rockstar Passes Collegiate Tennis Challenge in Little Rock, Ark., from Nov. 8-9 while another group of Razorbacks will travel to Bonita Springs, Fla., for the Bonita Bay Classic hosted by FGCU, which runs from Nov. 8-10.

Arkansas will conclude the fall season with the NCAA Singles & Doubles Championships hosted by Baylor University in Waco, Texas, from Nov. 19-24. In January of 2023, the NCAA Division I Competition Oversight Committee approved a two-year pilot program to hold the event in the fall of 2024 and 2025.

The ITA office, along with the NCAA Singles & Doubles Pathway Task Force, created a clearly defined and accessible pathway for student-athletes to earn entry into the fall 2024 and fall 2025 NCAA Individual Championships. At the ITA All-American Championships, 10 singles players (eight main draw quarterfinalists & two feed-in consolation finalists) and four doubles teams (four main draw semifinalists) will qualify for the NCAA Singles & Doubles Championships.

At the ITA Regional Championships, the two singles finalists and doubles champion from each region will earn a bid to Waco. At the ITA Conference Masters, the four main draw semifinalists and three doubles teams (champion, finalist, third place) will qualify for the NCAA Singles & Doubles Championships, while at the ITA Sectional Championships, six singles players (semifinalists & two quarterfinal playoff winners) and three doubles teams (champion, finalist, third place) from each section will make the trip to Waco.

The Hogs enter the fall season with one ranked doubles pair in No. 48 Božo Barun and Marino Jakic.
