
Men's Tennis Set to Begin Play at ITA Central Region Championships
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas men’s tennis team continues its fall season in Norman, Okla., for the ITA Central region Championships from Oct. 8-12 at Headington Family Tennis Center. The tournament marks the second straight event the Razorbacks will play in Norman as some of the squad recently competed at the PTT 20K Norman.
The Hogs will be playing student-athletes from 11 schools across the central region. The ITA Regional Championships are the second of three qualifiers for the NCAA Singles & Doubles Championships, which will be held from Nov. 18-23 in Orlando, Fla. Singles and doubles finalists from the regional advance to the NCAA competition.
Arkansas will have eight members of the squad competing in Norman as Gabriel Elicha Navas, Marino Jakic, Eric Padgham, Lukas Palovic, Arsene Pougault, Connor Smillie, Jakub Vrba and Ben Weintraub are set to take the courts this week. The team will look to improve on their performances from the two previous tournaments at the ITA All-American Championships and the PTT 20K Norman.
