Men's cross at Wisconsin

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas Razorback men’s cross country will continue the 2009 season with an 8K race at the Wisconsin adidas Invitational. The gun will go off at 11 a.m. Sat., Oct. 3 at the Zimmer XC Course in Madison, Wis.

Lane Boyer, Michael Chinchar, Cameron Efurd, Rick Elliott, Eric Fernandez, Solomon Haile, Aaron Hamilton, Rio Reina and Patrick Russell are slated to compete for the Razorbacks this weekend.

Also scheduled to compete in Madison this weekend are No. 20 Auburn, No. 12 BYU, Duke, No. 10 Georgetown, Illinois, Iowa, Lamar, Marquette, No. 23 Michigan, Nebraska, Syracuse, Texas A&M, UW-La Crosse and No. 4 Wisconsin, among others.

In the current edition of the USTFCCCA weekly rankings, the Razorbacks are listed at No. 1 in the South Central region and No. 17 in the national poll. The Razorbacks are one of three SEC teams listed, with Alabama and Auburn also making appearances.

In the first two meets of the season, the Razorbacks have won two meet titles. Haile won the individual race at the 4K Arkansas Invitational and Boyer earned a runner-up finish at the 8K Missouri Southern Stampede. Boyer and Haile earned weekly SEC awards for their performances in Joplin, Mo.
