Men's Tennis Heads Out for Trio of Matches in Lone Star State
The No. 36 Arkansas men’s tennis team will hit the road for three matches this weekend against conference foes Texas A&M and Texas and a Sunday finale against Incarnate Word.
The Razorbacks (15-8, 3-6) are coming off a big upset win on Sunday as they took down the then-No. 15 Auburn Tigers 6-1 at home. They will have a big test with the No. 10 Aggies on Friday, who are 13-7 record on the season, 6-3 in SEC play. Texas A&M played twice last week: a non-conference loss to No. 5 Ohio State, 4-1, and a conference win over No. 6 Mississippi State at home, 4-3.
The weekend’s competition only gets stronger on Sunday as the Hogs travel to Austin to square off with No. 3 Texas. The Longhorns are 16-6 overall, 7-2 in conference. Texas defeated Vanderbilt in a 4-0 road sweep last Friday and won 4-2 over Kentucky in Lexington on Sunday.
Later that day, the Razorbacks will take on the Incarnate Word Cardinals at Westwood Country Club in Austin. UIW has compiled a 10-2 record this season and is 2-0 in the Southland Conference. The Cardinals played the Longhorns to open their season on Jan. 14 and fell 6-1, their only common opponent with the Hogs so far in 2026. In UIW’s conference matches last weekend, the Cardinals took down Nicholls 6-1 and New Orleans 5-2.
Friday’s match in College Station is set for 6 p.m. Sunday’s opener at Texas will start at 1 p.m. and the Hogs will close the weekend against Incarnate Word at 6 p.m.
