NACAC Senior Championships feature seven Razorbacks
FREEPORT, Grand Bahama – Seven Razorbacks representing five countries are scheduled to compete at the fifth North American, Central American and Caribbean Athletic Association (NACAC) Senior Championships this weekend in the Bahamas.

Shafiqua Maloney, of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, finished fourth in the 2024 Olympics 800m and set a career best 1:57.59 in the Olympic Games semifinals. She will race in the 800m in the NACAC meet and has posted a season best time of 1:58.00 in 2025. Maloney has registered nine sub-2 minute times this season.
Krissy Gear, who finished fourth at the USATF Championships with a career best of 9:11.64 in the 3,000m steeplechase, is the lone Razorback among Team USA this weekend.
The Jamaican squad will include Nickisha Pryce, Nia Robinson, and Tyrice Taylor. Three-time national champion Pryce is scheduled to race in the 400m as well as the 4 x 400m relay. Robinson will contest the long jump.
Taylor, who won the Jamaican 800m title this summer, is seeking the World Championship standard of 1:44.50 or to improve his world ranking status.
Tai Brown will represent Barbados in the 110m hurdles while LaQuan Nairn returns home to compete for the Bahamas in the long jump.
