No. 1 Arkansas leads NCAA Indoor qualifiers with 17 entries
FAYETTEVILLE – No. 1 Arkansas has qualified a nation-leading 17 entries for the NCAA Indoor Championships they will host March 13-14 at the Randal Tyson Track Center. This marks the fifth consecutive year for the Razorbacks to attain the most entries.

Following conference championships held this past weekend, Arkansas remains ranked No. 1 for the third consecutive week. Heading in the national championships the rest of the top 10 includes Oregon, Tennessee, Florida, Kansas State, Oklahoma, Penn State, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, and Virginia.
Among that group Arkansas (SEC), Oregon (Big 10), and Texas Tech (Big 12) claimed conference team titles while Kansas State (Big 12) and Penn State (Big 10) were runner-up as Texas A&M (SEC) and Virginia (ACC) placed third.
The 17 entries for Arkansas marks the third highest NCAA Indoor entry total for the Razorbacks over the past 12 years. In 2013 Arkansas had a high of 19 entries when previous men’s head coach Chris Bucknam claimed his first NCAA team title with the Razorbacks. The second best total in that span was 18 entries in 2021.
Following the leading 17 entries by Arkansas, Oregon has 15 entries while Penn State has 10. Tied with nine entries apiece are Florida, Kansas State, and Texas A&M while BYU and Texas Tech have seven entries each.
Arkansas 17 entries cover a leading 11 events, which includes three entries in the 60m hurdles as well as a pair of entries each in the 60m, 200m, 400m, and 800m. Additional individual entries include the 3,000m, 5,000m, high jump, and triple jump.
The Razorbacks are the lone men’s program to qualify both the 4 x 400m and distance medley relays. This marks the 16th consecutive year for the Razorbacks to qualify a 4 x 400m relay into the NCAA Indoor Championships. It’s the seventh time over the past eight years for Arkansas to qualify both relays.
Texas A&M follows with entries in nine events while Florida has eight events with Tennessee and Oregon following with seven each.
