No. 10 Arkansas Begins Postseason at SEC Tournament

PENSACOLA, Fla. – No. 10 Arkansas (12-3-2, 8-1-1 SEC) will make its seventeenth SEC Tournament appearance when it faces Auburn on Tuesday, October 31 at 5 p.m. The match will air on SEC Network with Alex Pearlman (play-by-play) and Marion Crowder (analyst) on the call.

The two teams met earlier this month when the Tigers upset then-No. 6 Arkansas 2-1. Senior forward Ava Tankersley, the SEC Forward of the Year, extended her scoring streak to three straight matches with a goal in the 54th minute of the match.

The Hogs will be the No. 1 seed after winning the Western Division crown against Mississippi State to close out the regular season.

Auburn, the No. 8 seed, advanced to the quarterfinals after defeating nine-seed Tennessee, 2-1, in the opening round on Sunday.

The Razorbacks ended their six-year streak of appearing in the championship match at last year’s event after losing to Vanderbilt in penalty kicks.
