No. 12 Soccer Hosts Nationally Televised Match with Texas A&M

The twelfth-ranked Razorbacks (7-2-1, 2-1-0 SEC) are set to host Texas A&M (5-4-2, 0-3-0 SEC) on Thursday, Sept. 28. First kick is set for 6:00 p.m. and the match will be nationally televised on ESPNU.

  • Arkansas trails in the series with Texas A&M, 8-9-1, but has won the last four meetings. The Hogs are 4-4-0 against the Aggies in Fayetteville.
  • The Razorbacks own a 52-9-2 home record dating back to 2016. Eight of those 52 victories came against ranked teams.
  • Ava Tankersley was named SEC Offensive Player of the Week for assisting in the game-winner against Auburn and netting the game-winner against No. 8 South Carolina.
  • Tankersley leads the SEC in shot accuracy (.700) and ranks second the nation and the conference in assists per game (.80).
  • Anna Podojil’s 41 career goals and 109 career points rank fifth and fourth, respectively, nationally among active DI women’s college soccer players.
  • Podojil was named to the United Soccer Coaches NCAA DI Players to Watch and also Top Drawer Soccer’s Preseason Best XI first team.
